Year 844, the Battle of Clavijo, in the heart of La Rioja, Ramiro I fights against Abd Al-Rahman II. Legend has it that the apostle James appeared in battle on a white horse and led the outnumbered Christian army to victory.
Many memorable historical moments have been lived in La Rioja. These labels tell some of these episodes from around the 10th century. The Castle of Clavijo and various period objects visually take us back to another time, convulsive and enthralling, which is worth remembering.
